# Get help from an AI assistant

AI assistants can answer your InvoiceStamp questions from this help center. To ask about the page you're reading, tap **Ask AI** under its title and choose ChatGPT or Claude. To let your assistant search every guide, connect the help center to it as a connector at `https://docs.invoicestamp.com/mcp`.

## How do I ask an assistant about a guide?

1. Open the guide, then tap **Ask AI** under its title.
2. Choose **Ask ChatGPT about this page** or **Ask Claude about this page**. The assistant opens in a new tab with a message asking it to read the guide.
3. Send the message, then ask your question, such as *How do I record a payment of 50 dollars on INV-0004?*

**Copy Markdown** copies the whole guide as text, to paste into any other assistant. **View as Markdown** shows that text.

## How do I connect the help center to Claude?

Connected, Claude searches the guides itself whenever you ask about InvoiceStamp, without you opening a page first.

1. In Claude, open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Choose **Add custom connector**. Name it *InvoiceStamp Help* and paste this URL: `https://docs.invoicestamp.com/mcp`. There's nothing to sign in to.
3. In a chat, turn the connector on from the tools menu, then ask your question.

On the Free plan, Claude allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organization first.

## How do I connect it to ChatGPT?

ChatGPT adds connectors like this one in developer mode, on the plans where OpenAI offers it.

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings** → **Apps & Connectors** → **Advanced settings** and turn on **Developer mode**.
2. Create a connector named *InvoiceStamp Help*, with the URL `https://docs.invoicestamp.com/mcp` and no authentication.
3. In a chat, choose the connector from the tools menu, then ask your question.

> Assistants rename their settings often. Look in your assistant's help for "custom connector" or "MCP server": any assistant that connects to remote MCP servers can use the help center.

## What can the assistant see?

Only this help center: the same public guides you read here. It can't see your InvoiceStamp account, your documents, clients or payments, and it can't change anything in the app.

Assistants can still get things wrong. If an answer doesn't match what you see in the app, trust the app, and check the guide the assistant used: it names the page. For anything about your own account or subscription, [contact support](https://docs.invoicestamp.com/account/get-help).

The help center follows the conventions AI tools look for:
